A few of my favorite things (fashionably speaking)

Here's where I list some of my recent vain obsessions.
'Obession' is such an extreme word. Fascination. Inquiry. etc etc.
Anyway, here we go.

off-centered closures on jackets and cardigans

ruffle-y necklines, almost overly-feminine patterns.

classic sweater vests

brocade (though I think i've only own one brocade piece in my entire life and worn it approxiamately one time).

creative and colorful tights. why the heck not.

new twists on classic ideas. i adore these slip on cutaway oxfords from anthropologie.

This little number that combines FOUR things I'm currently loving:
1) plaid
2) purple
3) embroidered detailing
4) flannel

Of COURSE I bought it (a christmas present to me from me), and am wearing it now. Of course of course.

That'll do for now.
Care to share any of your recent love affairs in the fashion world?

But, not today..

Thank you to my old friend Grant, who introduced me to this little video that contains both a song I enjoy and a person I am fascinated by, Miranda July.

The Union Line at Silverlake Lounge in L.A. in November

I was in another photo-editing mood, so here are a few more I took when The Union Line played at Silverlake Lounge a few weeks ago with Local Natives.

Local Natives at Hotel Cafe

Want another great band to listen to? The Local Natives are awesome, talented and fun. Worth checking out via their myspace. Here are a few shots I got at their Hotel Cafe show.

The Union Line at Hotel Cafe in L.A.

A couple weeks ago, The Union Line had a show at the Hotel Cafe in LA. It was a great lineup- Local Natives and Voxhaul Broadcast played as well. The lighting was pretty great too, so I took advantage by snapping a few. Here they are, for your viewing pleasure.

The Union Line has been played on KROQ's Sunday night 'Local's Only' for the past few weeks consistently, and had an interview with Kat Corbett last week. Pretty exciting stuff. Check them outtttt.

Remember when I used to blog every day?

Well. I'm a busy girl now. Two jobs! I barely have time to be posting this little post.

Anywho, here's a few keywords of what I've been doing, at work and otherwise:

ribbons
employee discount
ex-hacker millionaire
freeways
photos
typing
taping

and, to give you something more interesting to look at, Shannon posted pictures from the wedding we shot a couple weeks ago, here.

Hope everyone is doing lovely. Happy December.

Keep on keeping on.
