Here are a few of my favorites:
"Bunny on a Walk"

These next two having been hanging ohttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifn my wall for over a year, after I found them on AllPosters.com
"Fowl with Pearls"

I found out about Michael Sowa after seeing and falling in love with the movie Amelie, which remains one of my favorite films of all time. In the film, Amelie has the two Sowa paintings hanging on the wall above her bed. There's also an absurdist/dream scene where the dog and fowl speak to each other about what Amelie ought to do about her love life.
If you haven't already checked out Michael Sowa, do. And the movie Amelie is beautiful and inspiring and will not disappoint. The soundtrack is also incredible, and is how I discovered the French composer Yann Tiersen, who did the score. His music is too good for words. So, to recap, the three things you should get from this post:
1) Check out Michael Sowa
2) Watch Amelie
3) Listen to Yann Tiersen
Come to think of it, these three tidbits are just about the best advice I can offer in the way of art, movies, and music. I love them all, dearly.

interesting.
you have nailed two out of three of my favs...the artist and the movie...I do like the composer as well but haven't heard anything but the amelie score so...anyway.
Side note...I have an intense and irrational fear of creepy crawlers so I could have used a warning before viewing that one particular piece...but the rest are divine...
i think that everyone who's anyone already knows about these awesome things, and has for many years now. ;]
I just like letting people in on 'awesome things.' Glad you're already in the 'know'.
To the rest of my readers: hope i sparked your curiosity to something new. Since I'm not only writing to 'everyone who's anyone'.
woah, glad to find out from Melz comment that I'm someone in the know since I am aware of these artists as well...I feel so much more enlightened than everyone else who may not have known! However, I don't think I could have highlighted them in quite the fun way that you have- your post re-awakened my interest in the artist in particular and made me want to rewatch a movie I haven't seen in years but dearly love. Thanks!
Excuseme for my english but i'm italian. I like Sowa and the animals of his picture. By
