Spoons!

Danielle and I were talking about spoon rings on Sunday(she liked one I was wearing that I got too long ago to remember where), and so today I did a search on etsy, knowing I'd be able to find them there.

Sure enough, I stumbled upon this seller, who has a whole line of amazing (and very affordable) jewelry made from flatware!

spoon bracelets are adjusted to your size,

isn't this spoon bracelet so graceful?

and there's something quite spunky about this fork bracelet,

The store offers plenty of elegant pieces like this bangle,

Not only is it beautiful and affordable, but it's all in support of a great cause-- proceeds go to missionaries serving to spread the Gospel! I'll be ordering a few things soon...!

Alexa Chung
I know I've already used Alexa for a Fashinspiration post awhile back, but I found these pictures of her on Fieldguided's blog and was reminded of her effortlessly great style. Besides, it's my blog, I do what I want! ;)

Currently on my iTunes

Anybody want me to publish your playlist to my blog? Email me your list (preferably as a screenshot as I've done here) and I'll happily do so.

Yes, Greg, I stole your idea. You can post my list if you want... :]

Crayons>>>>Life

I'm currently infatuated with The Wonderland project by photographer Yeondoo Jung. It's a collection of photographs based on children's drawings.
Youthful imagination brought to life and the amazing photos that result.

The Union Line Album Giveaway Winner...

To assure you that this was a fair drawing, here's what I did: wrote down the names of all who entered (in a random order), numbered them, and then numbered little pieces of paper, folded up said pieces of paper quite tightly, and had Jordan pick one. And the number on the paper matched the number by Frankie's name!

And Shannon, I drew your number next, so you scored a ticket to the show at the Hotel Cafe on July 11th! ((since Frankie is not 21 and will not be able to redeem that portion of the win))

Thank you to all who participated-- stay tuned for more giveaways!

Audrey Hepburn's Pet Deer

I stumbled upon some really beautiful photos of Audrey Hepburn by Bob Willoughby,

and I was pleasantly surprised to find multiple pictures of her with a baby deer,

Turns out that this sweet little deer was her pet, "LP."
How cool is that? I want a pet deer!

For Popsi

Even though he doesn't read my blog, I think it's appropriate (being Father's Day and all) to let the rest of you know how awesome my dad is. He's the, freaking, best.

Happy father's day to the rest of you-- hope you were able to spend the day with fathers/father-figures/men you respect. Yay for respect.

The Union Line Giveaway Reminder

Just a little reminder *nudge, nudge* that you have until Monday at 5pm (PST) to enter the The Union Line Album/Ticket Giveaway and score an album and tickets to their July 11th show with Copeland.
Not many of you have entered so far, so the odds are in your favor!

Win-ventions

Every once in awhile, i get these "brilliant" ideas for improving my life, the lives of others- sometimes even the whole world. Most recently, I had that idea to make big clip-on mustaches for the grills of cars (inspired by those people who dress their cars up like reindeer around Christmas). Then there was the "necket"-- a knit jacket, just for your neck (sans sleeves, of course). Today I was on the freeway when I remembered an idea from years ago- most likely before I could drive- for the "conveyor belt freeway": a freeway that moved by itself so cars wouldn't have to, and thereby alleviating (if not eliminating) traffic. Brilliant, I know.

So, beyond simply bragging about these gold nugget ideas, I'd like to know what awesome ideas for inventions you guys have had. Let me know in the comments.

I can't wait!

The Union Line at the Roxy, 6/09....and GIVEAWAY***

I've seriously lagged in posting these pictures of The Union Line, who played at the Roxy last month. It was a great show, and I always like the Roxy for its lighting and space-to-wander (for cool shots).

***Also, as mentioned succinctly in the title of this post, I'm doing a Giveaway. I'm going to try to them every so often from now on, to spice up life a little.

So here's the deal:

Leave a comment (by Monday June 22nd at 5pm) with your name and email, and I will randomly select a winner to receive a free CD or 7" vinyl of The Union Line (winner chooses), and I'll pay your way to see them play with Copeland at the Hotel Cafe on July 11th (sorry to those who are under 21 or who will not be in L.A. to redeem...but you don't have to be 21 or a "local" to win the CD or vinyl!!)

....game ON.
