Happy Halloween!

I love Halloween. Pumpkin carving, costume making, candy binge-eating, apple cider drinking, and so on. The only thing I don't like are the hoochie costumes. But you have to take the good with the bad, sometimes.

Jordan and I went to find the perfect pumpkins a few nights ago,

Jordan made a little friend,
and then....pooped out a pumpkin? Sometimes I don't ask; just laugh,

Back to J's to carve 'em up! I broke a knife,

mmmm, toasted pumpkin seeds are the best,

We're putting the finishing touches on our costume today. I'll post photos of that soon...
Have a fun (and safe) night everyone! :]

Halloween in the Office

At The Gazette office, we love any excuse to celebrate. Today, we celebrated not only Halloween, but also Jen and Amy's birthday (which happens to fall on Halloween)!

They were given some sweet candy mustaches,

Kim bought sticky eyeballs and placed them all over. I strategically moved a few of them...

Singing happy birthday,

Cool photo cake from Donna B's (it says "Happy Birthday Sparrow Twins" because Martin [the boss man] calls us girls sparrows),

Sara looking fab (per usual),

Creepycool,

So. much. fun.
I love my job & coworkers! :]

Looking forward to a Reunion <3

I know it's not a new thought, but: being away from the one(s) you love sure does make you appreciate them.

Tonight I get to see Jordan again, after a couple weeks of us both off traveling.

Lunch Near Monticello

A couple days ago we had a magical little picnic lunch off the road to Monticello.

Here's Oliver making that flying ant noise I mentioned in the last post. It makes my heart swell and practically burst with happiness,
Steph's mum matching Jasper,

Steph and Sam's profiles,

Sam looked like a dashing little man,

Rumpus time,

Then we laid down and saw this spectacular view,

flying Felix,

John Wayne sat by and looked on,

It was a wonderful encapsulated little memory: lunch in a beautiful little grassy patch with some of my most favorite people. :]

Today is Stephanie's brother Noel's wedding, so we're getting excited about his Virginia-wedding-in-a-barn-in-autumn. More on that later.
