The coin-eating robot? I've been doing [futile] impressions of this little guy for at least a year, and finally, yesterday, my coworker Sara knew what I was talking about and told me his name is Robie. Sure enough, I found him on google and youtube immediately. Thank you Sara!

Aww I'd never heard of Robie, but he's cute...in this crazy kind of way. Glad you were able to find him. I've definitely been on your shoes in looking for something for ages before finally finding it. Isn't it such a relief once you do? :)

I totally had a Robie when I was young... and as soon as I saw this blog post I exclaimed "ROBIE!" I think I used it until the arm broke off == my parents probably still have him somewhere in a box.
