Through Colored Glass
Absolutely stunning photographs by Johnny Miller. Makes me want a collection of colored glass bottles to keep in the window sill....

My New Clutch
I stayed with my friend Carrie a couple nights ago, and she had a big box of leather scraps that we decided to be crafty with. Taking a cue off her sweet handmade leather wrench clutch, I whipped together this little beauty-
oh, and then i was distracted by my shoes,
and then by the fringe on my shirt,
back to the clutch. It has a perforated tan leather lining and flap, light and dark blue suedes, and a neato cut-out glossy leather scrap made up the main exterior,
I snatched a toggle from Carrie's button stash,
and voila!
as with all my creations, it's a don't-look-too-closely piece... ;)

Noodles & Cakes
Em and I had quite the foodie's day on Wednesday- after Cafe Fiore we went to U Village and she took me to a couple more new-to-me places. Firstly, Zao Noodle Bar
I ordered the Dan Dan noodles, which were deliciooooooooous,
Then we went to Trophy Cupcakes, which is supposed to be even better than Cupcake Royale, my old standby...
Em got the Chai Cardamom,
and I got the Lemon Coconut,
(she was very patient with me while I snapped a few of our cakes, who appeared to be friends for their brief table-lives)
if you haven't noticed, my recent discovery is that I LOVE taking pictures of food. Especially when i get to then eat the food. Considering investing in a macro lens...

Caffe Fiore
Em took me to Caffe Fiore on Wednesday- another good one I'd never been to before. Which made me wonder how Seattle has so many stinking good coffee stops. Come on, California....sure, I love the serve yourself froyo that no one else seems to have caught on to yet, but catch up with good coffee! Or open more Peet's!

A Shower for Chelsea
My friend Chelsea is having a baby boy next month, and a few of us, who were unable to make it to her real shower, decided to throw her a surprise luncheon shower today.
We had sandwiches with honey turkey and avocado, salad with cranberries and gorgonzola, blue chips and corn salsa, berry fruit salad....
...and Gina made these cute strawberry shortcakes!
I've been working on a quilt for baby Levi for a few months, and finally finished it earlier this week,
I'm happy with how it turned out, and Chels seemed to like it a lot.
Beautiful lady,
Sooo excited to meet the little dude! Less than a month away!

DIY Crushes
I'm working on a little DIY editorial for work, and so I've been scouring the interweb for ideas. Creative overload! There's so many good ones!
Like Emily's floating vase,
the purl bee's cute felt flower pillows,
Ashley Ann's cute wire frame DIY,
Bonnie's chalkboard-painted pots (via Design Sponge),
Tricia's ruffle pillow (made from a t-shirt!),
Brittni's doily mirror,
so many fun projects! so little time. :/

OC Fashion Illustrator Danny Roberts
In this month's issue of The OC Gazette, we featured a local fashion illustrator Danny Roberts. Danny has created stunning illustrations for the likes of Gwen Stefani, Forever 21, Lancôme, and many more. And we were able to nab his time to answer our questions!

See what I mean? Stunning. And I keep seeing his stuff popping up places, beautifying new items and space. For example, I didn't realize until recently that this popular Bloglovin' widget (and the one that I've had on my side bar for awhile now) is one of Danny's illustrations,
